Comprehensive Cinical Care
Why work with a case manager?
When someone acquires a brain injury it can be difficult to come to terms with. Both the person with the injury and those around them can struggle to understand the impact living with a brain injury can have on their life.
The role of a case manager is to find ways to support the person so they can still live a rich and meaningful life. That might mean bringing in a team of specialists to work towards a goal, such as starting a career, support to maintain their old lifestyle where possible, or to find a new hobby or career path.
If the injury was acquired following an accident, there can also be legal matters to navigate, and it can be difficult to know which support services the person involved is entitled to. A case manager can join the dots and act as a single point of contact when you need advice. They also make sure everyone involved is communicating and collaborating seamlessly to provide continuity of care.
