Live-in care in Nottingham

Live-in care provides an alternative for people who require round the clock care but don’t want to move into a care home. Our experienced nurse-led team is specially trained to support people living with a range of complex conditions, or people looking for companionship or extra help around the house.

We look after individuals, couples and people living with learning disabilities. That means families can keep living together for longer, you can keep your pets, and there’ll always be someone around to watch your favourite TV show with you.

Care tailored around you

One of the biggest benefits of live-in care is that you can enjoy your usual daily routine. Care is completely tailored around the individual receiving it, down to making sure they never miss an episode of their favourite soap.

We’ll ensure medication is taken at the same time every day, you or your loved one can keep up with hobbies and interests, and you can eat at your preferred meal times. When it comes to meals, our carers can provide a variety of menu options or make your favourites. It’s completely up to you.

We understand that you need to feel comfortable letting someone spend large amounts of time in your home, so we make every effort to match carers to people they’ll get along well with. You will meet your carer before they start working with you, so you can make sure they match your needs, interests, and will fit in with your lifestyle.

With a live-in carer providing practical and emotional support, you’re free to spend more quality time together as a family. We can also offer peace of mind that at any time, night or day, you’ll have an experienced care professional on hand to keep your loved one safe and happy.

How it works

Live-in carers work on rotation to make sure there’s always someone alert and on hand to provide any support and assistance you or your loved one needs. Their working week starts on Tuesday. Every second Tuesday your carers will swap shifts seamlessly by 1pm.

While we try to keep your team of carers consistent, please note that it might not always be possible if a carer is away or off sick. But rest assured, we will only send carers with the right skills and experience to meet your needs.

Careers’ working hours are 8am to 8pm, and they must have breaks amounting to 2 hours every day. After 8pm, your carer should be asleep or resting.

If you require additional support overnight they will log the time and this will be charged separately to the live-in rate, but you’ll always have someone on hand in case of emergencies.
